Kristen has been working with me through her unique blend of yoga and myofascial release/massage for several months. While deep yin poses have helped loosen my tight back, hips, and shoulders, her hands on is what has allowed for real breakthroughs. I remember her talking about this during a public yoga class and the light bulb went off - I couldn’t wait to get started. Her understanding of yoga and detailed anatomy, along with her massage training, allow her to really understand what has been holding me back - what regular yoga and stretching hasn’t been able to accomplish. Rockroot yoga and massage rocks. Kristen is a knowledgeable and creative yoga teacher. She designs creative and effective sequences for her classes which makes them enjoyable as well as challenging. Massage therapy and yoga are so complementary and Kristen’s massage studies and work have given her the ability to focus safely on specific areas - shoulders, lower back, hips- helping to build strength and flexibility. I have been participating in her online classes since the beginning of “COVID”. Her live classes provide a connection to the yoga world and help me maintain my contact with the mat in a period when it is not necessarily comfortable to be practicing with others. I highly recommend her live classes and her YouTube channel. And it helps that she has a good sense of humour and a beautiful dog.”

I would highly recommend Rockroot. Kristen’s classes are highly engaging, and her hands on technique is great for new and advanced yogis. I am pretty inflexible and Kristen was able to offer slight alternatives and supportive equipment to help me get the most of the class. I learned how small adjustments can make a big difference. Her class was always varied, and the style could adjust depending on what we were focusing on that day.

I have been attending yoga virtually since the beginning of the pandemic. I love Kristen’s classes. She makes classes interesting by changing them with a different focus each class. She explains how each pose impacts which muscle groups and offers lots of variations. She asks for requests and incorporates as many as possible.
